Second Amigo Gets Scrutiny Over Bi-Partisanship

Day two and a second amigo gets scrutiny from the media:

Political Fix:

Freshman Rep. Penny Hubbard of St. Louis was one of three Democrats who joined the Republican majority yesterday to pass a redistricting bill. The other Democrats were Jamilah Nasheed of St. Louis and Michael Brown of Kansas City.

Today, Hubbard lashed out at fellow Democrats in the Missouri House and at U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan for what Hubbard termed “bullying” tactics designed to get her to toe the party line.

“There are a lot of mean-spirited people in the (Democratic) caucus,” Hubbard said. “Whenever somebody black votes, it’s always an attack like, ‘You’re a sellout, you’re a Republican.'” Read more…
