The plot in “Air Claire Gate” thickens!

Senator Claire McCaskill’s spokeswoman this evening confirmed that the Missouri Senator billed taxpayers for a purely political travel on a private plane co-owned by her family, a violation of Congressional ethics rules that deepens questions around her use of the plane.

The Misssouri Republican Party is calling for Sen. McCaskill to “open the books.”

“It is time for McCaskill to finally come clean about the network of shell companies that exist to shield her travel and her family’s business dealings from public scrutiny. If McCaskill truly believes in transparency, she should prove it by opening the books.
