Mud Throwing Not Working- FiredUp Missouri Tries Divide & Conquer

May 11th, 2010 by mopns · No Comments

We all know that 90% of FiredUp Missouri’s posts are about Roy Blunt, and as the latest polls clearly show, that strategy is not working out too well. It seems now they’ve embarked upon the old divide and conquer strategy – as evidenced by their latest posts titled, “Purgason Outhustles Blunt In Tenther Poll,” Purgason: “When You’re Put Into a Place of Power and You Fail…I Don’t Think You Should Get a Promotion,” “Great News For Roy Blunt: “If The Anti-Washington and Tea Party Winds Keep Blowing This Strong…”

Interesting strategy, though we don’t know how many Tea Party activists types are going to be influenced by a left wing blog run by Jean Carnahan and her cronies. These latest salvos reek of desperation if you ask us. It also says to us that the Democrat faithful may be losing confidence in Robin’s ability to pull this off.  It’s like they’re saying “We know our campaign sucks but if we hold out long enough, maybe the conservatives will turn against Blunt and we can squeak it out!”

President Lyndon Johnson once said about his race against Barry goldwater that he knew he was going to win because all the opposition did was attack him instead of telling the public what they were going to do. Johnson won in a landslide. Wise words indeed!

Is it still mud when what their slinging is the truth?

  • 2 Former_Democrat // May 11, 2010 at 10:00 am

Dawn, but what they are slinging is lies, if you’d take the time to research and find out. But of course, liberals like you don’t let facts get in the way of your lies.

Hypocrisy is hypocrisy. Whether or not it wins an election, the fact remains that Roy Blunt is not committed to the core principles that Republicans claim to care about.

B, perhaps you are correct. But I would further your argument…Robin Carnahan IS committed to the core priciples that Democrats claim to care about, and that is why Missouri does not need her or want her.
Anyone who has Obama stumping for him/her…time to run away from that candidate as fast as you can. We KNOW what her agenda will be. Obama’s.
I’d rather take my chances with Blunt. As much as that pains me to say. NOTHING Fired Up would EVER change my mind to vote for a Carnahan. Nothing.

Correction to next to last sentence:

NOTHING Fired Up writes would EVER change my to mind to vote for a Carnahan. Nothing.

so Roy sits a tad to the right of Obama and this should make conservatives happy. There is absolutely no freaking way that Blunt gets my vote if he is the nominee on the republican side. I’ll vote for the most intelligent candidate in the race which will be Dr Cisse Spragins

Vote for Candice “Britt” Britton for U. S. Congress District 01 challenger to Lacy Clay.
Lets unseat him August 3, 2010. Lets give the seat back to the people. Thank you

One Carnahan in the House is one too many in the Gov. Need to make sure Robin doesn’t get in and we throw Russ out too! She is just another rubber stamp Obama Progressive hell bent on ruining this Republic.

B, Tom, Maybe Blunt is not as pure as we would like, but we CAN”T take the chance to have Carnahan win. Lots of divided votes are a sure way to get Carnahan elected. I would rather take my chances with Blunt. Blunt has name recognition and for those who are not as informed as some of us, that is how the vote goes. Sad but true.

    Nancy,

Why are you so sure Roy Blunt is more electable than Chuck Purgason? It seems to me that people are looking for an outsider, not another member of a political dynasty.
