EXCLUSIVE: Nixon Ready to Make “Republican” Appointment to Missouri Transportation Commission

Sources  are alerting us that Governor Jay Nixon is allegedly ready to appoint Marjorie Melton, former President of the St. Louis City Board of Public Service, to a Republican Commissioner’s position on the Missouri Transportation Commission. Melton’s name is listed here with other prominent Democrats supporting Mayor Slay’s re-election bid.

Ms. Melton previously worked for and was fired by Mayor Francis Slay several days following his re-election in April, 2009. You heard us correctly, the vacancy on the Transportation Commission is a Republican seat.…Developing

    Could someone please explain to me how you can be a member of the BAR, an officer of the Court and be the Chief Executive..What about separation of powers? If he can get away with that along with all his other lawyer/legislature friends he can do just about anything he wants can’t he? Heil Nixon
