Move-On-Up.org, a national social network of conservative and moderate African Americans, have scheduled a press conference to call attention to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s (NAACP) silence regarding the unprovoked and senseless beating of African American conservative Kenneth Gladney. The NAACP’s website says the organization’s principal objective is to “ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens of United States and eliminate race prejudice.”
Mr. Gladney was allegedly beaten and called racial slurs by several members of the Service Employees International Union on the night of Thursday, August 6th, while selling “Don’t tread on me flags” outside of Congressman Russ Carnahan’s (D-MO) town hall meeting. Several people were arrested after the event, including Mr. Gladney’s alleged attacker. Since the time of the unprovoked attack on Mr. Gladney, the NAACP has remained disturbingly silent. As proud African Americans who deeply cherish justice, liberty and equality, we simply ask the NAACP why the silence?
Scheduled Speakers:
*Kenneth Gladney w/ his attorney David Brown
*Stephanie Rubach, St. Louis Director, Concerned Women for America. “The silence of their voices makes it apparent that it’s not about the color of one’s skin, or an individual’s rights being violated. It’s about having a certain political ideology that determines if your individual rights will be protected.”
*Kevin Jackson, Founder of “The Black Sphere” conservative blog and author of “The Big Black Lie: How I Learned The Truth About The Democrat Party.” It is clear that Democrats don’t like when a smart black person escapes the plantation. They sent one of our own to “retrieve that uppity Negro!” This is the type of activity that has many blacks afraid to speak out in our own communities, even our own families.”

National attention of crimes against Blacks must be the number one object of the NAACP Organization.
