Over the weekend, Democrat sources may have given us the answer for the eery silence emanating from the ranks of Missouri’s African American elected officials. Ten days ago, Governor Nixon replaced the only African American UM curator and replaced her with former lawmaker Wayne Goode.
Term limited State Senator Rita Days has reportedly cut a deal (she thinks) with Nixon to be appointed Secretary of State if Robin Carnahan defeats Roy Blunt next year for Kit Bond’s Senate seat. If this is true, an African American politician - and former teacher - sacrificing African American students for a future promotion and the chance to make history, is both disturbing and appalling.
