Looks like somebody dropped a dime on “Mr. Pelopidas”

The No. 2 lawmaker in the Missouri House owns an airplane with a prominent lobbyist and used the aircraft for travel throughout the 2008 campaign season, records show.

Rep. Steven Tilley, a Perryville Republican, is a partner with lobbyist Travis Brown in Mid Missouri Aviation LLC, a Columbia-based company that owns a six-seat turboprop plane.

While the partnership is not improper, The Kansas City Star found that — unlike Tilley — Brown had not regularly reported the relationship as required by state ethics laws.

Reached for comment on Wednesday, Brown initially said that he believed all the disclosures had been properly filed and that if they hadn’t, he would work to correct what he called “administrative oversights.”

He contacted The Star a few hours later, however, to say he had spoken with ethics commission officials and amended his last 20 monthly reports to include the partnership with Tilley. Read more…

    If you weren’t so lazy, you would find a picture of the airplane they mention in the article instead of the entirely wrong plane. The Meridian is a single engine, the plane you picture you have is a King Air twin engine which is 2 or 3 times more expensive.
