While average folks in northwest Missouri are working day and night trying to fight for their communities against rising floodwaters, Jay Boy Nixon has decided that their suffering is a perfect opportunity to promote his political fortunes.

Nixon’s campaign put out a press release telling the media that he’s going to be filling sandbags. If Jay Boy wanted to help, he could have done so without putting a press release out. It’s called humility and class.

But this is Jay Boy, who is more about promoting himself than doing what is right. And not surprisingly, old Wes Shoemyer is also trying to take advantage of the situation.

Pathetic and sad!
