Quote of the Day: “I’m Not Sure the Obama Supporters Will Fall in Line and Support [Clinton]”

As the Democrat Party nominating soap opera finally comes to its merciful end, we should start hearing soon calls for unity within the party. They will no doubt attempt to spin the divisive nominating contest as “good for the party.” We’ll also hear how the primary season “energized the base ” and “brought more people into the party.” Yeah, yeah, yeah. We say BS!!!

The mainstream media is reporting that Hillary supporters -in particular women, may not support Sen. Obama in the fall, and we know he can forget about the so called “Reagan Democrats.”

Rep. Clay gives us a little insight today into the divisions that will remain long after June 3rd - the last Democrat primary contest.

From The Hill:

Rep. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.), another Obama ally, said choosing Clinton could unify the party but also anger black supporters. “The downside is the divide that has occurred over the last year in this primary is pretty wide,” Clay said. “I’m not sure the Obama supporters will fall in line and support her. It’s evident that she and her husband started down this racial path shortly after the South Carolina primary and they continue to hearken back to racial divides in this country.” Read more…
