“FiredUp Missouri” Klansmen Show True Colors!

May 2nd, 2008 by mopns · No Comments

Sen. Robert “Sheets” Byrd. (D) The former Klansman said a few years back on national television that he’s “known white niggers in his lifetime.”

Since institutionalized racism was outlawed over forty years ago in this country, the current purveyors of hate and discrimination in our society now engage in much subtler ways to “keep us in our place.”

They can’t outright call you a nigger anymore, so the next best thing for them is to question your intelligence by criticizing your writing ability.

FiredUp Missouri posted a racist and insulting post this week that criticized a press release by new Missouri Republican Party communications director Tina Hervey. Hervey, who is an African American, attended one of the finest private high schools in St. Louis County (MICDS), graduated from Albion College with a degree in political science, and is currently pursing a masters degree from the George Washington University. Below is the excerpt from the “inscrutable release” that they say will have “Republicans begging Sloca to come back.”

“I believe that if a tree falls in the forest with nobody around it does make a sound. I also know that Democrats fighting tooth and nail to prevent good laws from being enacted and enforced would help us insure the integrity of our elections.”

Personally, I don’t see anything grammatically incorrect with this sentence. But what do I know, I’m just a dumb nigger attending law school.

Let me say at the beginning that I am not a part of Fired Up Missouri and I do not condone or endorse that site in any way. I know for a fact they censor the comments on their site and block opposing opinions from being heard.

That said, I don’t see the racism in the post you quoted and linked. It looks like the same old tired routine of that site…anyone who’s not a far left wing liberal Democrat is akin to Satan and should be destroyed.

I don’t see racism. I see hatred in their words but not racism. Could you please elaborate a little bit on how it’s racism instead of just plain blind hate for anyone who is a conservative?

    Jason,

A little background before I respond to your comment. Within the African American community, we affectionately call ourselves “the Family.” I find it hilarious that the Grand Dragons over at FiredUp are calling me a racist because I called another Black person an Uncle Tom and a bootlicker. I bet if you take an informal survey of Cleaver’s constituents, they are saying the same thing or worse!

It’s ironic that when black Democrats call black conservatives these names, FUM is eerily silent. To call me a racist for criticizing another black person is ridiculous! Even if I do call Cleaver disparaging names.

You’ll never understand this, but because racists think they are mentally superior – and it is un PC to be blatantly racist- they now resort to challenging your intelligence. As I said in the post, I didn’t see anything grammatically incorrect with Hervey’s press release. It made perfectly good sense to me.

If Ms Hervey were white, I bet FUM would have merely criticized the content of the message, not how it was written. Don’t you think that whatever point they were trying to make, it was a tremendous stretch to make Ms. Hervey look unintelligent?

pffft. Nothing at all racist about the Fired Up post. Extremely silly.

I tried to register with Fired up weeks ago and was never approved. Maybe they disapprove of the Irish in my background? Or is it the fact that I’m not a “Democrat”?
