Democratic Conference vice chairman Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Claire McCaskill talk about the latest filibuster situation in the Senate over an equal pay bill. Chucky Schumer made it a point to remind us that Sen’s Clinton and Obama came off the campaign trail to vote, but John McCain decided not too. It’s ironic that these two have been almost the official spokesmen for the Clinton and Obama campaigns, and they are the ones that conduct the press conference.
It’s also ironic that a day after the Obama campaign said they were going to take the gloves off and start attacking Hillary Clinton’s past scandals, McCaskill says in this podcast that Republicans are in engaging in “gotcha politics” with their filibuster and that American are tired of this kind of politics. Hmmm.
