“Last night, members of the local Code Pink bunch made a pitch to the Springfield City Council to “oppose military action against Iran without congressional authorization”.

Since this would have zero impact on preventing said military action against Iran, it strikes me as a symbolic - and fruitless - publicity stunt. I also wonder if Code Pink will be as keen to protest ALL future military usage proposals, without regard to whomever resides in the White House after the 2008 elections - and also without regard to the mission proposals themselves.  But back to this City Council pitch… Read more
