Airport Busy With Fly-In

The annual North Central Missouri EAA breakfast fly-in at the Chillicothe Municipal Airport east of town Saturday was a decided success with 134 youth boarding a plane and taking to the skies - most of them for the first time in their lives.

A surprise feature of the day was the appearance of U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, who flew his 1941 Boeing Stearman biplane to Chillicothe from Tarkio. Wearing a flight suit, the congressman spent a couple of hours in Chillicothe visiting with those attending the fly-in and having his picture taken with his plane. Read more…
